Maybe this was posted somewhere else but just by luck I decided to go to the Download folder on my E71, re-download the Ovi Store and to my surprise it was updated.

So I thought the Ovi Store updated by itself when you launched it just like “some” Nokia official applications. This is one of the things that annoys me about Nokia, they have a full variety of handsets but also the task of updating every one of them that they forget to let the users know about it or let the device handle it by itself.

I went and updated the Download! application on my phone and found this notice:

Dear Download! customer, we regret to inform you that during 17th of May some part of our service will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance break. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

One more sign that it’s going to be launched soon is the store.ovi.com website, it asks for a username and password, look @ the screenie: Continue Reading…
